Shawn’s 1967 Mustang, “Before”

It’s been more than seven months since Butler Ford teamed up with Rotor-Head photographer Shawn Adams to turn Shawn’s stock 1967 Mustang convertible into a Shelby Mustang. Seven. Long. Months. Butler Ford Body Shop Manager, Guy Fowler, has been working with Butler employees George Dunphy, Thad Grogan and Rob Scott to strip, straighten, paint and reassemble countless parts. Guy and Shawn took care of ordering the Shelby components, and Shawn’s been coming by weekly to document the progress (for step by step photos visit http://butlerford.wordpress.com/the-67-shelby-project/ or Shawn’s ’67 Shelby Project Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/The-67-Shelby-Project/268884083137444). After the application of a couple layers of primer we’re now spraying the top coat a beautiful candy-apple red. Fenders and doors are getting color today. The rest of the car should be painted by the end of this week. After months of anticipation the finish line is finally in sight!

This short video shows the new color as applied to the Shelby nose.
