We love instant gratification, don’t we? Hungry? Hit the drive-through. Bored with your music selection? Download an MP3. Feeling like it’s time to replace your car or truck? You have hundreds of new vehicles to choose from at local dealerships. Right?
For the most part, yes, if you’re flexible. But if what you really want is the hottest new car on the market, you may be in for a wait. MSNBC.com recently wrote about “The Hardest-to-find New Cars”, an article that serves as the perfect lesson in supply and demand. Some of the listed vehicles are in short supply; Others are new 2013 models and, as such, are slow coming to market. True fans are willing to pay a pretty penny to get their hands on new sport cars like the Ford Shelby GT 500 and the Chevy Camaro ZL1. But according to MSNBC.com, pent up demand is responsible for making the 2013 Mercedes Benz SL-Class hardtop roadster the hardest to find new car (for the complete list visit http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/48015450/ns/business-forbes_com/#).
So, if what you really want is what everybody else really wants… count on some frustration. But, instant grat isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be. Patience truly is a virtue… and 2014 models are just around the corner.
