Just like the clothes you see on the catwalk are extreme versions of those that wind up in stores so, too, are many of the vehicles displayed at car shows. Take, for example, the extended-length Equus Hyundai presented at last month’s Seoul auto show. The Korean automaker paired with fashion designer Hermes to upholster the sedan’s interior in leather comparable to that used to make Hermes handbags. The exterior was also given lux treatment in the form of a special top-coat.
It’s not the first time Hyundai’s called on the fashion industry to boost its brand. A few years back Hyundai turned to Prada to help promote the classy Genesis sedan.
