It seems people everywhere are talking about the sanctions imposed on Donald Sterling, owner of the NBA Clippers, for allegedly making racist comments.  (In case you haven’t heard he’s been banned from the NBA for life and fined more than a million dollars.)  Less publicized is the lengths sponsors, specifically Kia, took to remove themselves from the controversy.  Earlier this week Kia released a statement saying it had suspended all advertising with, and sponsorship of, the team.  The auto maker did not explain how that would affect its relationship with Kia spokesman, Blake Griffin, who plays for the Clippers.  There’s also no word yet if the suspension has been lifted given the punishment already handed down to Sterling.  We’ll keep you posted.
