Today, we offer Kia like you’ve never seen it before. Well… almost. You see, Kia’s promoting the appearance of the K900 at this year’s SEMA show with a short tease of a video. “A Day at the Races” gives a glimpse of the high-performance sedan, and that’s about all. The text only alerts us to a time and date: 9:30 a.m. Las Vegas time on Tuesday, November 4th… which also happens to be opening day at SEMA. We don’t know about you but we’ll be certain to tune in then!
We wrapped up our Open House season last night with a delightful evening at Butler Kia. Good conversation, happy customers, and plenty of food made for the perfect event. The highlight might have been the presentation of flowers to Butler’s Service Manager, Curtis Hancock, for Boss’s Day. He just about had a heart attack when he ran across the toy snake hidden in the bouquet! Thanks to everyone who participated! See you next year!
It’s happening! Edmunds confirms Kia will make a production version of the GT concept, a vehicle Kia calls “the thinking person’s muscle car”. The 4-door fastback which debuted at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 2011, is expected to keep its sporty silhouette but lose the suicide doors. Look for the GT at Butler Kia sometime in 2016.
Oh, Kia’s being COY! The Korean auto maker this week released a video and a brief – one line, to be exact – press release teasing one of its offerings at the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show in Las Vegas this November. Here’s the press release:
“Kia Motors America and Ballast Point Brewery are serving up something special for the 2014 SEMA Show.”
That’s it, the whole thing. We bet, though, if you watch the video, you’ll have a pretty good idea what Kia’s got on tap.
Think you’ve seen everything the minivan market can deliver? Think again! As of October first Kia’s out with a new ad campaign featuring the Korean company’s entry into the small van segment complete with the tag line “It’s not a sports car. It’s a Sedona.” To prove the point the campaign’s first television commercial follows the Sedona on a race track. Tim Chaney, vice president of marketing communications at Kia Motors American, says, “The element of desire was a major theme in the design and engineering of the all-new Sedona, and our campaign was conceived to signal that something different is going on at Kia. Sedona brings new levels of style and sophistication to a bland and predictable segment for the growing number of people who do not want to be confined by the conventional design limitations of the category.”
