The First Flying Car is Here!

If only we could get to places faster than the speed of light….well this might just be possible, soon, very soon.

Yes, you read that correctly. The first flying car is slated for sale sometime within the year.* According to the classic movie, Back to the Future, we should all have flying cars by now, right?

For the amazing low price (yes, this is a bit of sarcasm) of just  $279,000 you could be the proud owner of the Transition, appropriately named right?  Terrafugia is a small, privately held American corporation that is already working on second model called the TF-X, according to their website.

While we don’t have any flying cars available here at the Butler Family of Dealerships, we just received a shipment of powerful new Ford Roush Mustangs that will certainly make you feel like you’re flying — and this will do just fine for many of us!

The future is here! Ford is racing a Mustang built with a 3D printer! Okay, it’s not a full-sized car but it is a race car! The miniature was created specifically for an international slot car race in Detroit (check out all the details in the video below). It’s not the first time Ford’s incorporated a 3D printer into its manufacturing. In fact, the Blue Oval says it frequently prints prototype parts when designing new vehicles.  For more information click here.

We at Butler Ford have yet to see our first 2015 Ford Mustang on the lot. Oh, they’re ordered, they’re just not here yet. So it seems odd that we’re already talking about the 2016 model! Or, more accurately, Autoblog is talking about, and taking spy shots of, the next gen pony car. Thanks to the online auto mag for the photo above and the pontificating about what’s under all that camouflage. Follow this link to see more spy photos and read about what the experts say Ford may be hiding.
