Tax season is here! Why is that a good thing? Many of us have already received our refunds and are investing money back into the economy through automotive purchases. A win-win for the economy and the consumer.
So what vehicles are the most sought after? The 2015 Ford F-150 and Acura TLX proudly sit among the top sellers in a January auto sales report, according to Edmunds.com.
“Momentum is especially strong for our F-Series pickup, with the all-new F-150 the hottest product on our dealers lots in January,” said Erich Merkle, Ford’s U.S. sales analyst. Ford reported that the new aluminum-bodied F-150 is averaging just 12 days on the lot. High-end Platinum and King Ranch F-150 models are “turning even faster, averaging just nine and 10 days, respectively,” Ford said.
Ford posted a 15 percent sales increase in the U.S. in January, with sales of 178,351 vehicles.
Acura’s revamped Acura TLX was a top performer as well. Consumers grabbed 2,892 TLXs in January, “easily besting the combined sales of its two predecessors in January 2014 by 27.9 percent,” the company said. The TLX replaces the Acura TL and TSX. A sure winner for 2015.

Pictures may be worth a thousand words but, video is worth oh, so many more! At least that’s how we’ve felt when shopping for vehicles on-line. So, to make our inventory listings as thorough as possible we are now recording short walk-around videos of each vehicle in stock! The videos star a member of our sales staff showing you exterior and interior features of each vehicle, and pointing out awards, safety ratings, and accolades the car, truck or SUV might have won. We’re working on our pre-owned inventory first but, when we’re done, you’ll find videos for every vehicle in Butler stock, both new and used. We hope they help you in your on-line automotive shopping!
The all-new 2015 Ford F-150
On this 13th day of the ’14th year year we are all jacked up about the all-new ’15 Ford F-150! Doug Scott, Truck Group Marketing Manager, says, “We’re always looking to deliver more for our customer, and I think in particular with this truck, we always talk about the F-150 being a tool for our customer. A tool that needs to be more productive and we’re going to deliver a whole new level of productivity never before seen in this segment, it clearly is going to be the toughest, the smartest, the most capable F-150 ever.” How will Ford achieve that end, you ask? First, Ford removed 700 lbs from the F-150’s weight by using military-grade, high-strength aluminum alloy for the supporting structure. “For a truck customer [that’s] fantastic because that weight can then be reinvested in more payload, in more towing, thus the improved capability,” says Scott. Four engine options, including a 2.7 Liter EcoBoost, make the F-150 more flexible than ever, and a host of new features make it equally as exciting. Scott says, “We’re delivering a lot of new content… 11 class-exclusive features, so things like a 360 monitor, lane keep assist, BLIS, ya know blind spot information system, adaptive cruise with collision mitigation, inflatable seatbelts, a box link system, the list just goes on-and-on, so we’re gonna again, as normal with the new F-150, deliver a lot more content, a lot more smart features for our customer.” For all the details visit media.ford.com.

If you’re looking for a vehicle chances are pretty good you’ll consider a Ford. That’s according to online automotive research company Edmunds.com which added up all the people who visited the site, and broke the numbers down by manufacturer. Turns out, nearly one in every 6 visitors considered a Ford car, SUV or truck! And many of them purchased. So far this year Ford’s sold 1,024,000 vehicles! Since it’s a brand we at Butler Auto Group sell we’d also like to mention that Hyundai makes the list, too. Scroll down for the rest of the top ten or click here for the entire article.
